So much has been said about Nehemiah, it is a favorite of many teachers. What stood out for me today was the list of people who worked on the wall. It included priests, rulers, a goldsmith, and a perfume maker. Any one of these people could have said, "I am not called to do manual labor, I have a special job to do." But there are some jobs that require everyone to pitch in. Nobody can do everything and there is a time to stick to what we do best and let others do what they do best. A common job with a common goal and everyone working side by side can be an amazing thing to be a part of.

I agree! It is such a blessing to work on something with people! You learn so much from each other and are bonded together...
ReplyDeleteSaw in Psalms and Proverbs AGAIN how God loves humility and hates pride.
Just love Psalm 31!
Be strong and take courage, all you who put your hope in the Lord!
