Colossians 2:2-3

"My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."

Sometimes I tend to think that I need to agree with someone on all points of doctrine before I can be truly united. But this verse seems to say just the opposite. We must be united in God's love IN ORDER to have a complete understanding of wisdom and knowledge. God loves all of His children and He wants us to love each other. This should eliminate rivalry and competition between brothers. All believers are on the same road. Insights should be offered freely and correction, when needed, should be done ever so gently.
