unity

Today I saw two examples of unity. The first was in 1Kings1 Adonijah led a rebellion in order to make himself king. He had a party and only invited those who were united with him. This unity did not last long. At the first sign of opposition, everyone split. (see verse 49) Then in Acts we see the disciples living in unity even when the Jewish leaders made all kinds of threats. The difference was the source of their unity. In the disciples case no one was running there own agenda. They were all unified around Jesus and the Holy Spirit's agenda.

  1. Wow, I noticed these 2 things but did not put them together in one lesson. Cool.
Love Proverbs 16:24 Kind words are like honey-- sweet to the soul and healthy to the body.
Kind words literally perk you up with health! Who can I speak kind words to today... hopefully everyone!

  2. JaNahn, remember in grade school, that little girl(it was always a girl)who got an A on her paper and then went around asking everyone what they got? She really didn't care what you got, she just wanted you to ask her what she got so she could show off. It crossed my mind yesterday that I might be that girl! But I really do want to know what others got and I hope that I'm never seen to be showing off.

  3. No, you are not that girl! You don't come across that way at all. You just want to use your gifts to bless others...
