2 Cor.6-7
Today starts with, "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers." I have always been a little unclear as to just where and how to draw that line. As I read today's passage, I sensed a frustration on Paul's part due to the lack of instant communication and information that we take for granted today. Wouldn't it have been nice if Paul could have had a live chat with all the elders of the Corinthian church? Then I realized that we would not have this letter today if Paul had access to our technology. I also started to think about being unequally yoked. It seems to me that all our computers, phones, tvs, etc. have us more yoked to the world than ever. Maybe that is why the line is so hard to draw. As I read thru Ecclesiastes, it becomes very clear that possessions can quickly start to possess us. My prayer is that I can use the tools God has given me to use without becoming their slave and not get sucked into the world's mind set.
