Yesterday, I marveled at Abraham's faith. Today, I see the source of that faith, God's promise. Gal.3:16 says that the promise is Jesus. 3:10 says, "All who rely on observing the law are under a curse." I am currently reading The Prodigal God by Timothy Keller. The book focuses on the older brother's attitude in the parable of the prodigal son. He was relying on his good works and was unable to enter into the feast the father had prepared. In Isaiah 25:6, we see the Father preparing a feast! Verse 8 ends with, "the LORD has spoken" Here is a promise to hang on to!
