more on prayer

Today we started Philippians and there is Paul praying again. But I noticed something this time. He was praying for them even when things were going well with them. I tend to pray for people only when they need something. Paul was the one suffering in jail but the worst part for Paul was knowing that his friends were hurting because of it. What an example that is for me! Here's Paul in a Roman jail spending his time praying for and encouraging his friends. I have often prayed for more compassion. I think the place to get it is by praying for others.
