More on arrogance

About a week ago I had a dream. I don't even remember any of the details but the point was loud and clear, I have a problem with arrogance! I know it was the Lord showing me this and I know that He would not reveal it to me unless He wanted to fix it. This dream came before this section of Romans where Paul says, "don't be arrogant", "don't be conceited", "don't be proud", and "don't think more highly of yourself than you ought." OK I give! I repent! Lord help me to not look down on those who are not where I am spiritually. I know that any insight I have is a gift from You. Man! it was not that long ago that the Lord delivered me from a sever case of inferiority. At the time I felt like no one really liked me, not even God, but He set me straight and He set me free. And now I have slid all the way to the other side! I'm so glad that the Holy Spirit never let's me out of His sight!

That is my prayer today also. I am sharing with 2 women daily and I do not want to appear as arrogant or conceited, so I ask forgiveness whenever I see that teltale look on their faces. It isn't easy to use tough love and the Word to councel without seeing resentment. So, I get back on my knees and hope to do better tomorrow. M A

  2. M A, appearing arrogant and being arrogant are to different things. Although it is good to avoid the appearance of evil, we can't control the response of others to the truth. As long as you know your motives are right you can let God take care of the rest.
thanks for commenting, I wasn't going to even post anything today but you have my thoughts working!
