Prov. 15:23
I love this proverb. One of my favorite things is having the right thing to say at the right time. When someone has a question in women's Bible study and a scripture just pops into my head, it is wonderful! My challenge is to always recognize that this is the Holy Spirit at work and never let it go to my head. In 1 Sam. 15:12 we see Saul setting up a monument in his own honor. I would never do this outwardly but what do I say in my heart when someone say's, " You are sooo wise."? I hope I can think of my friend Cecilia and just point to Jesus.

Amen! I thought of Cecilia too. Always pointing to Jesus. I pray I would always direct my thoughts to Him.
ReplyDeleteI love that in proverbs too! Lord help us fleshly souls, even tempted to be prideful when the Holy Spirit so obviously enables us to do something...
ReplyDeleteIn John, my heart rejoiced at the reminder of how Jesus loved Mary, Martha, Lazurus, yet waited to come to their aide. He had a bigger miracle to do! Maybe that's why He is waiting to come to someone elses aide right now?!
Also How precious is our Lord who was deeply moved by his friends' weeping and wept along with them. I love Him so! He is the best friend!
Thank you for commenting. I can't tell you how encouraging it is for me to get some feed back. I must say it is with great fear and trembling that I come here each day. I so want to get it right and only say what the Lord wants me to say. Pray that I can get out of the way!
